You don't want to miss this one! Joining Alan on the mandolin faculty will be Don Stiernberg, Emory Lester and Ralph McGee with one more instructor to be named later. Kenny Smith and Jeff Huffman will lead the guitar track, Ron Stewart will lead banjo and fiddle, and Zak McLamb will lead the bass track. The legendary Doyle Lawson will be our guest speaker and may even be around to pick a few and hang out for everyone to meet!!! How cool is that!!
October 14th, Wednesday, 7:00 p.m.: Meet and Greet in the Surfside Beach Holiday Inn Resort Oasis Ball room and a catered meal from the hotel restaurant.
October 15th, Thursday: There will be classes all day as well as the Camp Concert featuring students, instructors, and all-star staff band Thursday night.
October 16th, Friday: Another full day of classes and concert as well as plenty of jamming afterward.
October 17th, Saturday: Offered to a limited number of students for even more intimate jams and classes!
Jam sessions for all levels are held every evening with a designated instructor, and one-on-one time with instructors is available. All levels are welcome. Registration will be limited so sign up now to secure your spot.
This year we will be our fourth year of officially having the Alan Neiderland Memorial Scholarship. We are providing 3 scholarships this year! This will be continued every year and given to a deserving student(s). Alan was a regular at camp every year as well as a regular on Mandolin Cafe. All who knew Alan were aware of his love for the mandolin and how he thrived on helping other players with learning materials, recordings and picks as well as many other things. He will always be with us.
