A deserving but humble Alan Bibey gratefully received his SPBGMA “Bluegrass Mandolin Performer of the Year” award, dedicating it to one of his biggest influences, mandolin great and dear friend, Herschel Sizemore.

Alan also thanked all the folks at SPBGMA and all his Grasstowne bandmates (Zachary McLamb, Gena Britt, Laura Orshaw and Mike Bentley) for the Mandolin Player Of The Year award last Sunday night. Alan stated, “I feel very blessed to have been and continue to be a part of the Bluegrass family all these years.”
